This department focuses on improved Malaria care and prevention. Activities in the department include community awareness campaigns on Malaria, training community health workers on Malaria prevention, conducting School campaigns on Malaria, purchase and distribution of long lasting insecticide treated nets and purchase of microscopes for Malaria screening. To date 1270 community members and 4040 School going children have been sensitized on Malaria prevention and care. In addition to this, 320 community members were supported with nets and 6 health facilities benefitted from Microscopes. All these activities lead to a reduction in the Malaria incidence rate.
